YamStreet is a California apparel design and manufacturing company based in the scrappy southeastern corner of San Francisco. We create high quality men’s basics for the young urban professional.
YamStreet’s Urban Pajama Pants are the first pajama pants designed for the street. Urban Pajama Pants surf a “California casual” wave, and establish YamStreet as unique. As YamStreet grows, we will follow our young male customer from café and campus to job and dinner with someone special. Products on the drawing board include a top quality merino wool T, a fashion-forward hoodie, and a stylish messenger bag.
Jeffrey Betcher, YamStreet’s founder is also a co-founder and board member of peoplewearSF, launched the business on a foundation of award-winning grassroots community development work credited with creating sustainable change in a place many had given up on. In 2008, before the YamStreet launch, he co-founded the Bay Area’s trade apparel association to improve the chances that startup businesses like his could succeed. YamStreet builds on the same scrappy values and organizing practices.
YamStreet and its community of “Yamistas” want every urban guy who cares about style, quality, comfort and good ole community values to wear our clothes with pride. Along the way, we just might reinvigorate a local apparel manufacturing hub and the neighborhood it’s part of.
YamStreet is a fresh clothing company that is worthy of the San Francisco apparel industry tradition.
